Our charter
Mission Statement: Someguild is an online gaming guild and community united under a common ideology. The guild consists primarily of mature and adult, veteran gamers. Our primary objective is to create an environment in which fun and the growth of long-term friendships can flourish. We foster a family-style atmosphere with team goals framed within a fun-loving environment. We seek to become a well known community that people can call home as we venture from game to game.World of Warcraft Mission Statement: Someguild plays on the Archimonde (US) server under the banner of The Horde. Our goals in WoW include experiencing and conquering end-game content as a guild through building a large raiding presence, as well as enhancing our PvP skills through World PvP, Arenas, and Battleground team play. We believe guild comes first, members above all else. It is not our goal to beat other guilds in progressing through end game content, but rather to have fun advancing together as a guild.
Code of Conduct
Someguild only accepts like-minded individuals with similar goals and personalities into our ranks. We recruit the person, not the character. Anyone who fails to follow and abide by our Code of Conduct and thus our core values is subject to removal. Our rules are as follows:1) Human Decency First: Games come and go, people and friendships do not. We strive to remember that there are real people behind the toons and treat one another with respect. Treat others as you expect to be treated.
2) Guild Second: We expect all members to ensure that all of their actions reflect positively on our guild image. We expect to work together to help out fellow guildmates and communicate amongst each other via guild forums, and guild chat. Membership in other guilds is prohibited. We are looking for individuals who are loyal to Someguild and it's members.
3) Communication is a must for all members. It is not a burden for leadership to carry alone. All members are responsible to check our forums frequently for guild updates or plans. We play as a team and schedule as many guild events as possible to keep this a fun environment for our members' enjoyment.
4) Members may not use cheats or exploits of any kinds. If you are found out to be doing so you will be permanently removed from the guild. We play fairly and do not need to use other methods to advance our characters or guild in any game.
5) Problems with our policies and procedures should always be brought up with guild leadership. Complaining on the forums will not be tolerated, but voicing constructive criticism is encouraged.
6) Personal attacks on other members are not permitted; see rule number one. Any issues with another guildmate should be dealt with one on one in a mature manner. If an officer's help or advice is needed the door is open, but only if the members involved have first discussed it themselves.
7) While it is not our intent to rigorously police profanity in guild chat or Ventrilo, please have both an awareness of, and a respect for, the fact that there may often be a younger member in the audience.
8) Ventrilo is required for raiding and guild events. Certain game addons are also required.
9) Ninja-Looting is subject to a zero-tolerance policy. Our guild name is very important to us, and all members must strive to protect it.
10) Smack talking or other denigrating comments are in poor form. Please refrain from doing so in any game or public forum. It reflects poorly on the guild and on yourself.
The Golden Rule: Have fun! It is our primary goal to provide a fun environment for people to take part in. If you aren't having fun, let us know what we can do to enhance your gameplay and we will see how we can make things better for you.
